The Nile crocodile is the 2nd largest crocodile in the world, growing up to 2,183 lbs. The crocodile is a meat eater. It eats mammals such as zebra, cattle and wildebeest, other reptiles [including other crocodiles],  fish, birds, carrion; young Nile crocodiles eat frogs and insects.

The Fast Spotted Cat

Cheetahs are mammals that eat meat. They are the fastest land animal! But they are not the strongest. Cheetahs have to eat really fast so lions or hyenas don't steal their food. The last thing a cheetah wants is to get injured. The cubs have long fur on their backs, so when they hide in the grass they just melt. The cubs are very small.

The Eryops

Eryops was part of the Eryopidae family and probably lived during the Permian period, about 270 million years ago. This was a long time before the dinosaurs evolved. It was a primitive amphibian and looked a lot like the alligators that live today. The name Eryops means drawn out face because most of its skull was in front of its eyes. This amphibian was a meat eater. It ate fish, small reptiles and amphibians. Eryops fossils have been found in Texas,New Mexico and eastern USA.
